Oncuff is a website design service providing low cost and sustainable web solutions to fine artists using Google Sites.
We sell custom website building services, templates, and offer web support through online tutorials and real life workshops. We help you confidently and professionally share your portfolio with the world.
Buy one of our templates, add in your artwork, and use our guides to help you build your site along the way. Then, it's only about $20/yr thereafter.
Sounds way better than a $20/month subscription right?
But, being an artist means being a small business owner. What's this gonna mean for you? Honestly, a lot of unexpected job roles... and each is it's own unique skill! While our creativity is boundless, it's pretty clear that how art is shared and sold isn't. It's a lot to learn.
Where did they teach that in art school?
Spoiler: they didn't.Artists tend to be very "off the cuff" kinds of people. We are a lot and proud of it!
Our practices reflect the deepest parts of ourselves: our experiences, emotions, hopes, and beliefs. Some of us prefer new materials, others love saving kitsch from the dumpster.
No matter who we are, we're bond to get messy and be our best eccentric selves. But, when it comes time to sell our artwork, there's certainly a cleaned up look clients want with lots of requirements. Everyone's supposed to have an instagram with nice pictures (video too?!) of their art. Clearly we've gotta be "on the cuff" to survive!
So, our website services are here to help you present your best, closer to "normal" self to the world without breaking the bank. We got into the arts to make stuff. We're happy to support creatives everywhere with that goal.
Oncuff is created by Kaitlyn (Kat) Hollander, a fine artist based in Toronto, Ontario Canada. Once Hollander started their art practice outside of school, they were surprised by the skills they were missing and how expensive becoming a fine artist is. They hope this project will better equip artists to face the modern digital landscape.
